I hid under the dreams of my mother for many years like a blanket covered in galaxies. My tongue had a mind of its own and would twist and turn the vowels as if I had swallowed paint. Not many spoke my language, but the ones who did knew how to light a fire in my heart. For the first time I feel like my third eye is open.
